​Glenn A. Dole,76 of Coleman, died at home Monday July 25, 2022.  He was born October 20, 1945 in Clare the son of the late William & Aletha (Berg) Dole.  Glenn married Donna L. Schram February 8, 1966 in Clare.  He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  Glenn retired from the Dow Chemical Company in 2004 after 30 years of employment. 
 
Survivors include his wife Donna of Coleman, children Kristine Szymanski of Coleman, Bryan & Jill Dole of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren: Joel & Elizabeth Szymanski, Jordyn Szymanski, Carly, Carter and Bennett Dole, great-grandson John Szymanski, brothers Bruce Dole & friend Brenda Maneval of Kentucky, Stephen Dole of Beaverton, Phil Dole of Illinois, sisters Rose Marie Capen of North Star, Joanne Dana of Midland, Linda & Bob Crivac of Coleman, sister in law Gloria Dole of Midland, many nieces and nephews. Glenn was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Jerry, Richard (infant) and Edward Dole, Helen and Linda Dole sister-in-laws, and Bill Capen brother-in-law.   
 
Glenn was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  He enjoyed bow hunting and rifle deer hunting.  His favorite place to be outside of spending time with family was in the woods.  He enjoyed gardening in the summer and loved giving his harvest to family and friends.  Glenn was well respected among those who knew him.  There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix or a possible solution he wouldn’t offer.  He will be sadly missed by his family, especially his grandchildren. 
 
Funeral and committal services will be held 1:00 pm Friday July 29, 2022 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Scott Hayes officiating.  Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Friday starting at 12 noon until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Coleman Veteran’s Memorial.
