​David Lee Geiling, age 67, passed away on September 12, 2022 in Stratford Pines in Midland Michigan.  David was born in Midland Michigan, March 8, 1955, to Robert and Olga Geiling who resided in Coleman Michigan.  David was born with a cognitive impairment and went to Ashmen School of Midland Michigan in which he graduated from in 1979. David was involved with the Special Olympics in which he won numerous silver and gold medals in track and field and many trophies for his bowling abilities.  He resided in Midland Michigan most of his life where he enjoyed helping others daily and being a Godly inspiration to all he made contact with, going to church at Blessed Sacrament, driving his red truck, walking around the city, spending time at different eating establishments, traveling to the Mackinaw Bridge and going to family gatherings. In later years of David’s life, he resided at Pinecrest Farms in Midland.
 
David is proceeded in death by his younger brother Steven Mark Geiling,  his father Robert Llewellyn Geiling and his mother Olga (Kaszczyk) Geiling.
 
David is survived by his sister, Rhonda Marie Geiling Washington, his nieces Jennifer Nicole Washington and Juliann Marie Washington, his great niece Abrianna Marie Caldwell and great nephew Cole Orion Hoyt.
 
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday September 16, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Midland, with Fr. Robert Howe officiating.  Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.  Friends may call at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm and Friday at the church starting at 10 am until the time of services.   Memorials are suggested to Special Olympics or First State Home Health and Hospice Care of Saginaw.  O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family with Arrangements.
