​Billie D. Jones, 95 of Coleman, died Thursday September 22, 2022 at Americana Seniors of Clare.  He was born September 28, 1926 in Coleman the son of the late William & Ina (Huggard) Jones.  Bill married his wife Fern October 6, 1978 in Coleman.                    
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.  Bill retired from the Dow Chemical Company in 1981 after 37 years of employment.  He was an avid outdoorsman. Bill enjoyed hunting, trapping and gardening.
 
Survivors include his wife Fern, children: Jackie (Art) Tharp, Robert (Charlene) Jones, Michael (Carla) Jones, David (Lisa Haney) Jones, Kevin (Joenalyn) Jones, 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, sister Bonnie Fike, several nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his brother Jarvis Jones and sisters Gladys Ingersoll and Marian Milwrick. 
 
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday September 26, 2022 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Scott Hayes officiating.  Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 pm and on Monday starting at 12 noon until the time of services.  Memorials are suggested to Careline Hospice of Jackson.
