Donald L. Dana, 83, of Coleman died at home Saturday October 22, 2022. He was born April 6, 1939 in Midland County the son of the late Lawrence & Hilda (Rankey) Dana. He married his wife Patricia February 27, 1980 in Nashville, Tennessee. She preceded him in death December 4, 2011. Don enjoyed woodworking, carving wood, westerns, playing Yahtzee and deer watching. He loved to eat. Survivors include his children: Jack & Linda Dana of Sanford, Cindy & Robert Ballard of Coleman, Gary & Cherrie Ennis of Traverse City, Brian & Laurie Ennis of Holt, Barbara Ennis & John Curtis of Saginaw, grandchildren: Jason, Sunny, Justin, Tyler, Ashley, Ryan, Jacob & Christina, great-grandchildren: Jayce, Cole, Kayden, Connor, brothers Charles Dana, Merlin Dana both of Coleman, sisters: Ruth Curtis of Midland, Evelyn Vogel of Midland, Esther Cadman of Sanford, Rose & Robert Carrow of Georgia, Patricia & David Smithkey of Flushing, Jan & Oscar Hedrick of Colorado, Rhoda & Paul “Joe” Toth of Coleman, many nieces and nephews. Don was also preceded in death by his son Gene Dana, granddaughter Stephanie Luce and sister Marilyn Dana.Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday October 29, 2022 at the Coleman Wesleyan Church with Rev. Scott Hayes officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends may call at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and at the church on Saturday starting at 10 am until the time of services.
