​James A. Sayers, 94, of Coleman died Wednesday November 16, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center, Midland.  He was born January 13, 1928 in Warren Township the son of the late Glenn & Jennie (Jewell) Sayers. 
 
James married Kathryn L. Arnold, July 10, 1948.  She preceded him in death May 26, 1970.  He then married Laura E. Jordan October 9, 1981 in Coleman.  Jim served with the U.S. Army during WWII.  He was a lifetime farmer in the Coleman area.  He retired from the Dow Chemical Company in 1986 after 17 years of employment.  Jim enjoyed flying his planes and was a missionary in Guyana, South America.  He also enjoyed working on cars. 
 
Survivors include his wife Laura of Coleman, daughters, Lonna & John Romer of North Aurora, Illinois, Linda Sayers of Coleman, Phillip Jordan of Lincoln, Debbie & Tom Harvey of Oscoda, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Jim was also preceded in death by his brother Edward Sayers, sisters Cleo Rowse and Helen Dana. 
 
Funeral and Committal services will be held 11:00 am Monday November 21, 2022 at the Clare Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Tim Fall and Tom Harvey officiating.  Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.  Friends may call at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 3-6 pm and at the church on Monday starting at 10 am until the time of services.
