​Rickey Dean Burns, 67 of Coleman, died at home, unexpectedly, Monday February 20, 2023.  He was born December 10, 1955 in Clare the son of the late James & Beatrice (Chaffee) Burns. 
 
Rick was a skilled welder and auto mechanic working in the area.  He owned and operated Rick’s Garage until recently.  Rick sang and played guitar for his Country Knights country music band.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and playing pool.  Rick had a wide variety of animals on his farm through the years.
 
Survivors include his sons: Ed & Angela Burns of Lansing, Nathan & Katie Norris of Midland, Casey Burns of Albright Shores, 10 grandchildren, sister Sharon & Don Shoaf of Hawthorne, Florida, sisters-in-law Amy Burns of Coleman, Rosemary Burns of Sanford, several nieces and nephews.  Rick was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Nick and Barry Burns and brother-in-law Roger Angsten. 
 
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday February 24, 2023 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Joseph Andrist officiating.  Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery Coleman.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 12 noon until the time of services.
