​Lillian M. Aultman, 95, of Coleman died Friday April 7, 2023 at Eden Fields Assisted Living in Standish, MI. She was born February 2, 1928 in Jerome Township, the daughter of the late Earl & Esther (Segerlund) Peters. Lillian M. Peters married George R. Aultman April 28, 1952 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death March 7, 2006.
Lillian was compassionate about the things she pursued and served as a caregiver to many. She moved her mother into her home so she could care for her in illness and raised her sister Nancy after both parents were gone. She also took care of her father, father-in-law, and in later years her husband, George. Lillian was an avid reader, gardener, cook, baker, canner, knitter, was a cub scout leader and taught summer bible school. She made and decorated wedding cakes and sewed all styles of clothing. She spent many years involved in various Farm Bureau projects even travelling to Washington, DC. as part of the Midland County Women’s Committee.
Survivors include her sons: George (Deborah) Aultman of Mt. Pleasant, Sam Aultman of Coleman, Paul (Michelle) Aultman of Coleman, grandchildren: Dr. Ashley Aultman (Ryan Shackleford), Dr. Whitney Aultman (Steven Ruppe), Paige (Patrick) Yanna, Grantland (Breanna) Aultman, Victoria Aultman and fiancé Josh Hoffman, great-grandchild Addy, sisters Sally Ward of Coleman, Nancy Buzzell of Gladwin, several nieces and nephews. Lillian was also preceded in death by her brothers Karl & Edward Peters and sister Lorraine Peters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday April 14, 2023 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc., Coleman, with Pastor Lynn Chappell officiating. Burial will take place in Midland Memorial Gardens, Sanford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm and on Friday starting at 10 am until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or a cause of your choice.
