​Joseph “Roger” Drake, 78 of Clare died at home, with his family by his side, Tuesday October 24, 2023.  He was born the son of the late Milford & Crystal (Letson) Drake.
 
Roger married Joan “Kay” Bower August 28, 1965 in Coleman.  He served with the U.S. Navy from 1965-1968.  Roger was a lifetime farmer in the Clare area.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids and attending their events. 
 
Survivors include his wife Kay of Clare, children: Joe & Erica Drake of Clare, Marc & Amy Drake of Deerfield, Wisconsin, Alison & Jeff Letzkus of Sanford, grandchildren: Cole, Quinn, Branden, Addison, Savannah, sisters: Jo Ann Wakeman, Linda Meyer, Cathy Deneen, Allison Gallagher, Jane Duffy, brothers William Drake, Ronald Drake, many nieces and nephews.  Roger was also preceded in death by his son Richard Dale Drake October 4, 1972, sisters: Jean Murphy, Dawn McKnight, Janice Turrell.
 
Funeral services were private with burial in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.  Memorials may be directed to Isabella County Commission on Aging or MyMichigan Home Care.
