Jeffrey D. Yeager
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey D. Yeager, a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, who left us peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, on June 22, 2024. He was 66 years old.

Jeff was born on March 19, 1958, in Ann Arbor, MI, to Walter D. Yeager and the late Marilyn K. (Walters) Yeager. He was the cherished brother of Denise Murray and Debra Bovee (husband Dan). In 1962, the Yeager family moved to Coleman, MI, where Jeff and his father, Walter, founded Coleman Electric in 1975. As a master electrician and business owner, Jeff dedicated his life to the commercial electrical contracting business, earning respect and recognition in his community.

Jeff married the love of his life, Deanna L. Yeager, on October 8,1994 at the Coleman Wesleyan Church. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Jeff was a devoted father to Blaine Yeager (wife Virginia), Ryan Yeager, and Rayna Yeager, and a proud grandfather to Kasen Yeager and Lennox Yeager.

Beyond his professional life, Jeff had a passion for woodworking in his shop, fixing anything he could get his hands on, and camping with and without horses. He cherished his time spent with his "ornery 'ol red-headed wife" and eagerly anticipated his annual pheasant hunting trips to South Dakota with friends, a tradition they started in 1991. Jeff's love for the outdoors extended to his membership in the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club, where he spent 46 years fishing with the Cozat family on Memorial weekends and deer hunting during the opening week of firearm deer season. Jeff and his best friend since kindergarten, Keith Cozat, were always helping each other out or getting into trouble, creating lifelong memories.

An Eagle Scout, Jeff exemplified the values of dedication, service, and community throughout his life. He was known as his mother's "angel," being the only boy among three children, and fondly remembered for the phrase "the angel strikes again," which now takes on a fitting new meaning as he is the first to reunite with his mother, who passed in 2017.

Jeff's contributions to his community and his unwavering commitment to his family and friends have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his wife Deanna, his children, grandchildren, father, siblings, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends and loved ones.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 26th, at the Coleman Wesleyan Church from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The memorial service will be held at the Coleman Wesleyan Church at 11 am on Thursday, June 27th, with visiting hours starting at 10 am. A luncheon will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club in memory of Jeff Yeager.

Jeff's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
