Helen E. Hopkins, 91, of Coleman, died Wednesday August 14, 2024, with her family by her side at Coleman Fields. She was born May 28, 1933 in Coleman, the daughter of the late Burley & Edna (Coons) Hall.

Helen E. Hall married Donald D. Hopkins October 4, 1952 in Rosebush. He preceded her in death November 21, 2011. Helen retired from Coleman Elementary School where she worked as a playground supervisor. She was active in the Faith United Methodist Church where she served as the Sunday School Secretary for 30 years. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman. She was cherished by her husband and all who knew her. She enjoyed working with her hands to provide for her family and those less fortunate. She will be truly missed. We grieve, but not as those with no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Survivors include her children: Deborah & Fred Warn of Dewitt, Candice & David Bolenbaugh of Coleman, Ann & Robert Diehl of Coleman, Donald & Kathy Hopkins of Clare, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, sister Hazel Rydman of Coleman, several nieces and nephews. Helen was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Robert Phipps; brothers Burley, Clarence and Floyd Hall.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday August 19, 2024 at the Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Larkin officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2-6 pm and at the church on Monday starting at 10 am until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to the Faith United Methodist Church, The Care Team Home Health and Hospice or the donor’s choice.
