Gary Dean Jones, 82, of Coleman died Wednesday October 9, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Midland, with his family by his side. He was born October 25, 1941 in Saginaw, the son of the late Howard & Blanche (King) Jones.

Gary married Carol Kay Witbeck June 11, 1960 in Coleman. She preceded him in death September 3, 2008. He retired from Dow Corning in 2002 after 42 years of service. Gary was a lifetime farmer in the Coleman area since 1969. He had served on the Coleman School Board for more than 20 years, was a professor at Delta College and was active with Big Brothers.

Survivors include his daughter Kelly & Dave Arnold of Bay City, son, Steven & Tracie Jones of Coleman, grandchildren: Sean Monkhouse, Nikki Monkhouse, Kyle & Dacia Arnold, Corey & MacKenzie Arnold, Jesse Arnold, Kaelyn & Brian Guza, Stefan & Cameron Jones, great-grandchildren: Kenley, Charlee, Dane, Kashton, Jaxson, Beckham, Monroe, Frankie, Wrenn, Knox Bowen, special friend Suzie Babcock of Coleman, brother Gordon & Judy Jones of Canton, sisters Nancy Jones of Canton, Debi & Robert Bell of Canton, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Monday October 14, 2024 at the Coleman Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Scott Hayes officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends may call at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2-6 pm and at the church starting at 10 am until the time of services.
