Carrie L. Filhart, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday December 25, 2016 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. She was born October 7, 1940 in Bluffton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles & Evelyn (Geiger) Benton. Carrie married Leland Filhart March 21, 1992. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, crocheting and quilting.
Survivors include her husband Leland of Mt. Pleasant, children: Shelley Frantom of Saginaw, Michelle & Patrick St. Pierre of Saginaw, Brian & Carole Garza of Grand Rapids, step-children: Sherry Keyes of Coleman, Gary Filhart of Mt. Pleasant, Michael Filhart of South Dakota, several grandchildren, sister Marilyn Sigler of Lutz, Florida. Carrie was preceded in death by son-in-law Andy Frantom and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday December 30, 2016, at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc., Coleman, with Dr. Jose Garza officiating. Friends may call at the funeral on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Friday starting at 10 am until the time of services.
