Clarence I. “Butch” Stone, 67, of Coleman passed away at home Saturday July 30, 2016, in the presence of loved ones. He was born April 11, 1949 in Flint, MI the son of the late Neldon & Vernetta (Hammett) Stone.
Survivors include Tina Rogers (the love of his life), their sons; Gannett & Heather Stone of Owosso, Orin & Kaycee Stone of Owosso, step-daughters Crystal & Jon Rogers of Owosso, Tricia & Scott Rogers of Florida, sister Carolyn Carnavale of Asheboro, North Carolina, close cousin Dale Stone of Coleman, 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Rancourt and brother-in-law Joseph Carnavale.
Butch worked for General Motors Fisher Body then drafted into Thailand for 2 years. When he returned home he continued work at GM until they closed. He was hired in at Delphi, where he continued working until retirement after putting in 30+ years total.
Butch enjoyed spending time on the computer to keep in touch with family and friends. He enjoyed working outside getting trails ready for his grandbabies visits up north. He always kept busy, something always ‘needed’ done, and he kept a smile on his face.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday August 4, 2016 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc., Coleman, with Rev. Jack Steenburgh officiating. Family may visit at the funeral home starting at11 am, friends may call from noon until the time of services. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted.
