Duane A. Yager, 82 of Coleman died at home Wednesday November 30, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born in Coleman August 9, 1934 the son of the late Harold & Sarah (DeJongh) Yager. Duane married Genevieve R. Endert April 14, 1956 in Gladwin. He retired from Continental Can in 1992, and was a lifetime farmer, with his wife Genevieve, in the Coleman area.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Genevieve of Coleman, daughters Melissa & Thomas Green of Mt. Pleasant, Pam & Steve Koch of Coleman, grandchildren: Christina & Christian Lawrence, Michael & April Tyslicky, Rebecca & Kyle Ferguson, Rachel & Mike Blain, Marcy Strickland, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sisters, Marion Calkins of Rosebush and Evelyn Walter of Sanford. Duane was preceded in death by sons Gary & Bryan Yager, brother Donald Yager and a sister Doris Murray.
Funeral and committal services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday December 4, 2016 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Samuel Reith officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends may call on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Sunday starting at 1:00 pm until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sanford.
