Esther Rosylen Lane, age 69 of Sanford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 16, 2022, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Esther was born August 18, 1952, in Saginaw, daughter of William and Esther (LaFrance) Fritz. Esther worked in healthcare, helping the elderly in Clare. She was an avid gardener, collector, doing plastic canvas items and crochet. Esther loved cats and cared for many pets over the years. She loved country music.
Esther is survived by her grandson, Travis Lane; siblings, Augusta “Dolly” Ahejew, Christine DeCaire, Mary Vetterle, Carol (Robb) Racine, Mathias “Matt” (Diane) Brown, and Alisa “Leona” (Alan) Yearwood, very special friend and companion, Rick Murray; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and her adored cat,
Spunkie.
Esther was preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta Lane on January 9, 2022; parents; sister, Donna M. Hare; brothers, William O. Fritz, Joseph W. Fritz, Gerald M. Fritz, and infant brother, Lewis C. Fritz; brothers-in-law, Russ Ahejew, Dan DeCaire, Daniel Vetterle and Brian K. Hare Sr., nephew Brian K. Hare Jr.
Funeral and Committal Services for Esther will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc., with Monsignor Francis B. Koper. Interment will follow in the Geneva Community Cemetery, North Bradley. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
