Winifred R. “Bud” Brugger, 96, of Coleman, died Friday May 13, 2016 at Stratford Pines, with his family by his side.  He was born in Pontiac January 30, 1920 the son of the late Stanley & Lela (Geer) Brugger.  Bud married Leona M. McMillan in Pontiac October of 1940, she died in 1970, he then married Alice L. Woodcock in Midland April of 1973, she died in 1987, he then married Berniece Martin in Tavares, Florida March of 1993 and she died May 5, 2012.  Bud was a retired carpenter and had taught building trades at Coleman High School.  He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and was an avid fisherman.  Bud served with the U.S. Army during WWII, in the European Theatre from 1944 through 1946.  He was a member of the Coleman Wesleyan Church. 
 
Survivors include his children Dale & Carolyn Brugger of Gilbert AZ, Larry & Charlene Brugger of Wagoner, OK, Roger & Gail Brugger of Mt. Juliet, TN, Pamela & Jim Catron of Okeechobee, FL, Zoanne & Nick Clark of Freeland, 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, step-children: Marge & Denny Swan of Midland, Jim Woodcock of Midland, Tom & Mary Woodcock of Bay City, James & Linda Dana of Tawas, Richard & Marilyn Dana of CO, Leon Dana of CA, Jeanette & Dan Myers of FL, brothers: Donald & Athena Brugger of FL, Delmar & Fern Brugger of Midland, Norman & Addie Brugger of Midland, sisters, Meriem Bastuk of Spring Arbor & Betty Tyslicky of Coleman.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Keith Brugger, daughter-in-law LouAnn Woodcock, brothers, Merlin & Stanley Brugger, sisters Maxine Brugger & Willo Shady Hawkins.
 
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Coleman Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jack Steenbergh officiating.  Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.  Friends may call at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and at the church on Saturday starting at 10 am until the time of services.  Memorials are suggested to the Coleman Senior Center or the Coleman Wesleyan Church.
