Charles Edwin Weck, I., 93, of Midland, formerly of Coleman, died at home Friday June 16, 2023. He was born August 17, 1929 in Wabash County, Indiana the son of the late John “Herman” & Mable (Brown) Weck. Charles E. Weck married Nona C. Jenkins February 4, 1961 in Weidman. She preceded him in death November 8, 2000. Charles served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed at E.R. Simons Elevator in Coleman and the Beaverton Elevator. He enjoyed farming, puzzle books, watching classic cowboy movies, and all the animals in his care. Survivors include his sons Charles Weck, II of Wheeler, Thomas Weck of Midland, grandson Chuck Moore of Midland, brother Richard Weck of Weidman sister Gladys Taylor of Lacoochee, Florida, many nieces and nephews. Charles was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Sandra Weck, brothers: Robert, Albert, David and John, sisters Elizabeth Taylor, Nellie Ramsey, Mary Weck, Adella Scott, Ann Spooner and Dorothy Dickinson.Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
