Keith L. Fowler
Born December 27th, 1951~ Died January 4th 2024
Keith was the 4th of 5 children born to Marian Griffith Fowler (Moon) and Deward Jerome Fowler. He lived a life of adventure! He loved to ski as a teenager in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and was especially good at jumping! He loved driving race cars. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed camping with his family. He said that all families should go on adventures and go camping. He loved his wife, Diane, with all his heart… and was devastated by her death when she was 33. While tilling at Marsh Farms years ago, he lost his wedding ring and spent a lot of time with a backhoe trying to find it. He continued To raise their three children, Keith Jr, aka petey, Crystal, aka Sissy, and Cassie, aka Joey. Eventually he had two more sons, Kevin and Jason.
He loved gardening and had a real green thumb! He made his yard a showplace for many years. He was obsessive about mowing his lawn! His kids remember riding on the lawn mower and loved it! They spent a lot of time around the picnic table, celebrating birthdays and holidays and anytime they could all get together.
Keith loved the birds and would watch them from his bed even while he was at Gladwin Nursing and Rehab.
As most know, Keith loved his popcorn, family and most visitors would bring him a bag. He especially loved it when his brother Steve and his nephew Benj would show up with a fresh batch. He enjoyed being surrounded by family… and his kids and grandkids loved him so much. He had a lot of “names”... Dad, Papa, Grandpa, Peter, Chief, Uncle Chief, Chieftain…
He had a croquet course in the yard, named “Peter’s Country Club” and they enjoyed “redneck golfing” with old golf clubs and buckets in the yard. Another fond memory is when Keith would tie a sled to the back of his little blue truck and pull the kids and grandkids up and down the dirt road by the house! He told them if they got too close to the truck to just kick off! These were lots of fun for all the kids and grandkids! Everyone loved his special chili made like nobody else, EVER!
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Marian Moon and Deward Fowler, his beloved wife Diane Fowler, his special bonus son Kyle Barager and his nephew, Casey Fowler.
