Samuel Charles Long, 49, of Coleman passed away Sunday February 26, 2023 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. He was born May 8, 1973 in Mt. Pleasant.
Sam attended school in Midland, graduating at 26 years old. He loved his Detroit Tigers and car racing including Nascar on TV and at local dirt tracks.
Survivors include his mother Charlene Long, brother Michael Long (Joslynn Rickord), niece Ava Kae Long, aunts & uncles: Jeanne Inman and Dennis Lemcool, Dan Long, Karen and David Feusse and several cousins. Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents: Patricia & Charles Long. Great-grandparents: Noah Evert and Edna Viola Long, Hazen Fisher, Malva and Raymond Wallace. A special THANK YOU to all of the Masonic Pathways Staff for the special care given to Sam.
Funeral and committal services will be held 11:00 am Thursday March 2, 2023 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Teal Saylor officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 4-8 pm and on Thursday starting at 10 am until the time of services. Memorial are suggested to the Donor’s Choice.
