Ronald D. Yarnell, 76, of Sanford, died Wednesday February 12, 2025 at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. He was born January 4, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Dean & Elta (Horning) Yarnell.
Ronald married Kathy May 16, 1993 in Coleman and then moved to living on Sanford Lake for 31 years. He owned and operated Yarnell Lawn & Snow in Sanford and the Midland area for 30 years. Ronald had worked for the city of Mt. Pleasant for 27 years before starting his business.
Survivors include his wife Kathy, children: Joy & Raymond McDonald of Shepherd, Tina & Shawn Sheets of Mt. Pleasant, Kristina Karl of Mt. Pleasant, Johnathon Yarnell & Cynthia Fugiel of Mt. Pleasant, Eric & Kristy Owens of Bismark, North Dakota, Chad & Shirley Owens of Dallas, Texas, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Richard Yarnell of Midland, sisters Darlene McKay of Weidman, Kathy Osborn & Clif Colton of Farwell.
Burial has taken place in the Salt River Cemetery, Coe Township. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday February 21, 2025 at the Billings Bible Church, 4111 Wieman Road, Beaverton, Michigan 48612 with Pastor Tyler Leigeb officiating.
