LeRoy A. Onweller, 75, of Coleman died Sunday December 3, 2023 at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, with his family by his side. He was born June 3, 1948 in Gladwin, the son of the late Alvin & Donnabelle (Searfoss) Onweller.
LeRoy married Marla G. Moyer May 26, 1973 in Clare. He was a military veteran serving with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. LeRoy enjoyed anything that had to do with his grandkids: hunting, fishing and being in the woods.
Survivors include his wife Marla of Coleman, children: Greg (MaryKay) Reid of Wasilla Alaska, Chris (Michelle) Onweller of Clare, Lynne (Jeff) Ficek of Beaverton, grandchildren: David, Travis, Thomas, Levi, Grayson, Chase, Blake and Baylee, special friends Jeff (Tina) Doede of Sanford, Greg Witbeck of Clare, his beloved dog, Molly.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Thursday December 7, 2023 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc., with burial to take place in the Dale Cemetery, Beaverton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Gladwin County Animal Shelter or the Veterans Administration.
