Lewis E. “Louie” Bauder, Jr. 81, of Coleman died Tuesday March 4, 2025 at Coleman Fields Assisted Living. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, May 26, 1943 the son of the late Lewis & Stella (Sysak) Bauder.
Louie married Kathy V. Barrett April 17, 1965 in Coleman. He served in the U.S. Army and while stationed in Alaska, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Louie retired from the City of Midland, where he was a heavy equipment operator, in 1998 after 32 ½ years of employment. Louie was a 4-H leader, had coached girls little league softball and raised beef cattle.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Kathy of Coleman, children Mike Bauder of Coleman, Sherry & Eric Gordert of Coleman, grandchildren: Jody Bauder, Kylie Bauder, Taryn Bauder, Jordan Rulapaugh, great-grandchildren: Kaylee Loggie Bauder, Caden Wilson, Avery Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his sister Sharon Beamish.
Funeral and committal services will be held 12 noon Saturday March 8, 2025 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Lisa Kelley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 am until the time of services. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.
