Tanya M. Fox, 65, of Coleman, died at home Thursday September 12, 2024. She was born in Midland May 23, 1959 the daughter of the late Paul & Nancy (Rease) Fox.

Tanya taught for the Unites States Military in Japan and Germany. She retired from the Central Michigan University Library in 2020.

Survivors include her brothers Paul “Vic” & Margaret Fox, Cory & Deana Fox all of Coleman, several nieces and nephews. Tanya was also preceded in death by her brother Cary A. Fox.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned.

Ms. Fox was an amazing teacher. I had the privilege knowing her for several years in Japan and after as a pen pal. She was funny, encouraging, and was genuinely interested in her students as people. She enriched us all and helped so many of us feel better about ourselves. The world was a better place with her in it.

She has been rembered by me for 30 yrs as my favorite teacher...we enjoyed her company so much we would eat lunch in her classroom...she had so much dedication to us as students...she always encouraged us in our endeavors and made me feel like I could achieve anything...her kind thoughts were sent with us during our travels so we knew she was rooting for us back home....I am genuinely sad she is no longer in this world because she was an example of the kind of people this world needs...I am grateful I had the opportunity to be her student and witness her love and kidness...you will always be spoken of with great admiration by me....I hope you knew the love and impact you had 💜💜💜
