​Don Jay Dennis, 91, of Coleman died Saturday October 14, 2023 at Green Acres in Mt. Pleasant.  He was born September 21, 1932 in Wise Township, Isabella County the son of the late Clark & Mary (Tompkinson) Dennis. 
 
Don married Kathleen N. “Kasey” Methner April 2, 1955 in Coleman.  He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from the Dow Chemical Company in 1990 after 35 years of employment.  He was a lifetime farmer in the Coleman area and built long lasting friendships with his neighbors, fellow Dow employees and the community.   Playing cards, pool and cutting wood were a couple of his favorite past times.  Don had a great sense of humor and especially loved teasing all of the wonderful women in his life.   
 
Survivors include his wife Kasey of Coleman, children: Kelly & Tom Zamorski of Cadillac, Kathy Ratliff of California, Donald Dennis of Coleman, Karla & John Ferguson of California, Kara Hughes of Colorado, grandchildren: Timothy, Richard, Morgan, Avery, great-grandchildren: Jaelynn, Londynn, Zayla, sister Doris McNea of Harrison, many nieces and nephews.  Don was also preceded in death by his brothers: Calvin Dennis, Carl Anderson, Bill Anderson, Art Anderson, sisters: Betty Porte, Ellen Dutcher, Marion Davis, son-in-law Jerry Ratliff. 
 
Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Coleman Schools AgriScience/STEM program or the donor’s choice.
