Gary L. Saylor, 82 of Clare died at home Friday January 5, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born March 21, 1941 in Midland the son of late Teal & Lucy (Huntoon) Saylor.
Gary married Cathy Williams July 23, 1988 in Loomis. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his pigeons and puzzles.
Survivors include his wife Cathy, children: Kim & Bill Morgan of Gladwin, Jeff & Cathy Saylor of Beaverton, Guy & Lisa Saylor of Coleman, Ann Phillips of Clare, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, siblings: Judy & David Eastman of Freeland, Sonya & Bill Phillips of Beaverton, Janet & Russell VanCamp of Coleman, Teal (David) & Maria Saylor of Midland, Randy & Diane Saylor of Sanford, Sally & Doug Wess of Clare, Julie & Rory Harsh of Coleman, many nieces and nephews. Gary was also preceded in death by his son Gary Michael Saylor and his first wife Marilyn “Sue” Hund.
Funeral and committal services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday January 9, 2024 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Randy Saylor and Chaplain Teal David Saylor officiating. Burial will take place in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Clare. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Tuesday starting at 10 am until the time of services.
