Joanne Kaye Dana, 76, of Coleman, passed away Friday November 3, 2023, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Coleman May 22, 1947, the daughter of the late Fay & Clarice (Rodabaugh) McCormick.
Joanne K. McCormick married Robert L. Dana June 21, 1975, in Coleman. She worked sales at Dana Carpet in Coleman for many years. Joanne loved spending time with her family and friends and was so happy when she gained the title of Grandma in 2011. She was a kind and giving person who shared the love of Jesus wherever she went. Joanne was a member of the Coleman Wesleyan Church where she enjoyed working with children in the nursery and Sunday School, as well as singing in the choir throughout the years.
Survivors include her husband Bob of Coleman, children Jamie & Greg Roller of Midland, Ryan Dana of Hemlock, granddaughter Paige Roller of Midland, sister Jean & Jim Jenkins of Coleman, and many other special relatives and friends. Joanne was also preceded in death by her brothers Jim and Jack McCormick and sister Joyce O’Dell.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life luncheon will be held Saturday, November 11th at Noon at the Coleman Wesleyan Church fellowship hall. Family will be there to greet guests beginning at 11am.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff who have cared for Joanne over the past few years. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial gifts in Joanne’s honor may be made to MyMichigan Health Hospice.
